Question: What will happen the first time I come?
Answer: During your first visit, your psychologist will speak directly with you to assist in working out your needs. It is common for people to feel a little nervous, so we have made sure that our offices are private and comfortable. The team of psychologists at Cortex are friendly and very approachable.
Question: Are the psychologists all qualified?
Answer: Yes. Everyone in the team is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia. All psychologists have undertaken extensive study and have considerable experience in a vast array of areas.
Question: Counselling session cost?
Answer: Weekdays up to 5pm – $125 or $100 for Health Care Card holders
After 5pm on weekdays – $140

Question: How often will I need to come?
Answer: A number of things could influence this.
We will work with you in consideration of your circumstances, availability, resources and other commitments to develop a plan that suits you.
Question: Will I get any money back?
Answer: We are registered providers for Medicare, Department of Veterans Affairs, Comcare, Carers Victoria, Family Relationships Service for Carers, TAC, Workcover and private health funds. Rebate amounts will depend upon your individual circumstances. We are happy to discuss the rebates available.
